I first worked with the band years ago, producing artwork for their Live at KCRW album, but we never had the chance to collaborate again. Over time, and with personal tragedy in Nick’s life, I didn’t push to reconnect — sometimes with artists, my approach is simple: if they call, they do.
Then, in September 2024, that call finally came out of the blue. Shooting with them was, without doubt, a career highlight. It wasn’t all plain sailing — some gigs never are — but I’m incredibly proud of the work and honoured to have collaborated with the band.
The show is a force of nature with the whole band at the peak of their powers. The Bad Seeds were keen to show the band as a band should be, one entity reliant on the sum of it’s parts, with Nick at the core of it’s beating heart.
